Tel Aviv Nightlife
Tel Aviv has a vibrant nightlife that is packed with trendy clubs, underground bars, and neighborhood haunts. With such a wide variety of nightlife options, local Israelis and visitors to Israel are bound to find a nightlife event that will suit their interests. From mainstream clubs to alternative clubs, rooftop bars to underground bars, Israeli dance clubs, live jazz clubs to wine bars, the Tel Aviv nightlife scene proves that Tel Aviv is truly “the city that never sleeps”.
Dance Clubs
- Head over to the port if you’re in the mood to dance at a trendy Tel Aviv club. Although the clubs are frequently changing names and ownerships, a couple of the most well known clubs are Gazoz, Galina, and Octopus. These clubs have beautiful patios that overlook the Mediterranean.
- Underground dance clubs such as Radio or Dizengoff are more centrally located in Tel Aviv and tend to be more “exclusive”.
- Rooftop bars and clubs such as Gag and Sublet give visitors to Israel an amazing view of Tel Aviv while the city is lit up and sparkling.
*Note: As Tel Aviv becomes popular for its cutting-edge nightlife, many of the Best Bars and clubs have begun using a “selection” process at the door. The best way to avoid waiting in lines at clubs is to order VIP tables and bottle service ahead of time. This ensures your name is on the list and a host will see that you receive priority treatment.
Neighborhood Bars
- The neighborhood called Florentine (also a street), is filled with pick-up bars. The bars are usually small so crowds pile on to the street. As several bars are on the same street, you can easily walk from one to the other to get a change of scenery and music.
- Dizengoff street also offers several neighborhood bars. Check out Bar Gyiora which has different themes, music, bands, etc in different rooms of the bar. The bar in the basement features live jazz bands and singers throughout the week.
- Located near the Shuk HaCaramel, Allenby has many pick-up bars. Although they may be slightly seedy, they can be fun hole-in-the-wall bars for travelers. Try the English Pub for English foreigners that may be a little homesick.
Wine Bars
- Neve Tzedek is the spot to go for classy and romantic wine bars. With outdoor seating on a quiet, reserved street, visitors can relax, chat, and sip some of Israel’s finest wines. Try Jajo Vino on Shabazzi street or Nana Bar on Ahad Ha’am.
